Intention.  Guns are for killing.  If their intent is to kidnap for political or ransom reasons then its a different story: You can wound in the process of subduing/capturing and deal with the wounds once you have the subject in the back of a laundry van.

If we follow the plot thread of Princess Jigglesome - then we can reasonably guess those guys want her as a political pawn to force her country into releasing some of their people being held, frozen funds, weapons, whatever.  You can't use a dead princess for leverage.

If you just want to kill them there are a dozen easier, quieter ways ranging from poison to gases.

I see your point. If the two of them knew they would want them alive, the fight was also already in their favor.

Well, anyone who thinks a 4 on 2 knife fight is reasonable please send me some video proof, lol.  All I know about knife fighting I learned on a space-A flight to HI with a pal from A school.  These two seals were trapped on board with us for about 10 hrs and we grilled them mercilessly as two teenagers will do.  All I remember about knife fighting was this helpful quote: "nobody wins in a knife fight".

Re: Reacher [Drama, Action]

I don't think the evil henchmen were expecting to be in a knife fight.  I think 4 henchmen expected 2 body guards to quickly dispatch and 2 helpless women.

If they had known it was going to be two armed fighting men, and two armed fighting women, they wouldn't have shown up in equal numbers.  They would have been a team of 8 to take on a team of 4 where at least one or both of the women had to be taken alive: That requires much more overwhelming force to control the situation not just survive it.

Mind you... kill the body guards then pipe in a tank of anesthesia gas under the door is so much easier & quieter with more predictable results.

Re: Reacher [Drama, Action]

Did not notice this previous seasons, but this season it's ears piercing - that they spell out the obvious. A phone with a note with a number on it. Hmm, what it could be? Let's spell it out for you, simpletons, she left us her phone code, lol.

Well, no, not after the rigor mortis wears off.

4x05

No real answers and a lot more questions. Good thing we got a good amount of action smile

Spoiler

"We can't sell it if we are dead" ?? They are doing all of that to sell it. That confused me the most.

The ear...holy f*** - not the most gory thing I've ever seen but it was intense.

They did not make the question "guns or knives" in this season any easier.
They just use whatever fits the "scene" better, not the "situation".

Re: Reacher [Drama, Action]

Latest episode was sweet. I complain again about this season being too short. I could watch 26 episodes per season if the quality was this good.

And seeing those two ladies fight was remarkable. They are Hot, Hot, Hot. Even the older one gets my juices flowing. Wowza.

All in all IMHO a really good episode, but too short at only 40 minutes. With only 2 episodes left a rather short season.

The only thing I find annoying is the moaning and grunting during fighting scenes.

Spoiler

My first thought, when I found out that the only data was a picture on the USB  was this had to do with stenography.

Guess I was kinda right.

Hope everyone else is enjoying Reacher as much as I. And here is to two kick-a$$ last 2 episodes and a season 5.

Re: Reacher [Drama, Action]

4x06 was decent.

Got a good amount of action and the story is moving along.
As for the ending of the episode, it's kinda obvious what is going to happen next - right?

One thing bothered me though:

Spoiler

They just put him in a trunk with a bullet wound to the chest and all they did was put a towel on top of the wound? No tourniquet, no applying pressure to the wound??? Two cops and an MP and no one knows basic first aid???

Not to mention the lack of empathy...
"What are you doing?"
"If you take a gun-shot victim to the hospital..."
"Cops are on their way, they take care of him..."

This is not a small boo-boo but a freaking gun-shot to the chest, he could die any second ffs.
This was the worst scene of the entire Season, maybe even the entire show...

Imho, they wouldn't have fumbled this in Season 1.

Steganography. When I first Cut it from the article I was getting stenography for some odd reason. Now I have to double check my cut and pastes? The world has gone to hell.

Steganography is:

Secret message: You start with a hidden file, text, or another image.Cover image: You use a normal picture to hide the data.Pixel change: Software changes tiny details in the picture's pixels or binary code.Invisible result: The picture looks normal to the human eye.

Hope that helps smile

Yes, that is correct. The phenomenon you are describing is heavily linked to the transposed-letter effect and is popularized on the internet as typoglycemia.

I seen the STE and the PHY and my mind filled in the rest incorrectly. Guess I better slow down. smile

They could have used proper tech in the same set up with just a slight change in script.  They need better technical advisors.

But still enjoying it. Its like a series for 80's action genre.

I was joking, because I had to look up TIL. Never seen it before. I was never offended, and I am sorry you did not understand my intent.

Guess we both screwed the pooch here. All is good TeaAndApathy.
