Sorry, he is correct. You state your opinion here for good or worse and there is an inquisition that pops up and it's not constructive what comes out of it.

I almost envy your ability to make up something that's not there. toidol didn't talk about any opinion, so conmits' reply about a different opinion didn't make sense.

He is referring to Merc not being allowed to simply post his opinion without having people question him, follow the replies up.

Of course merc is allowed to post his opinion, but when he posts about his quiff aversion again and again and again, of course it leads to comments. Same thing if someone were to complain about nurse Chapel's hair color or the absence of squirrels in sci-fi shows week after week.

And now we all wonder if merc went prematurely bald.

I watched last night an eps of Ancient Aliens where Giorgio counts down the10 most convincing objects that prove his claims. One an aluminium foot of a space ship - that he  mauled with his greasy mitts leaving his dna after the museum worker had carefully taken it from its box with rubber gloves as you do with all such objects... and the most convincing one one of those elongates skulls he had DNAed by a friendly sciientist who only declared it was out of place being found in Peru whereas the dna belonged to Europe opening up the possibility that there was emigration long before the Spaniards - Giorgio tried to get him to say it was extra terrestial but he remained silent, that did not stop Giorgio to go on and conclude that it was therefore clearly partly extraterrestial...so much for evidence...I could not stop laughing

I dont  hate Anson Mount - never heard of the guy before this show. His quiffed face just not fit in the trek universe. it jarrs.  Maybe some  kind of crime series or a Meghan Markle drama

I can rise above the quiff (not literally, I think it's too ludicrously high for that) but I get where Merc is coming from.
