Topic: Peacemaker

The series will explore the origins of the Peacemaker, a man who believes in peace at any cost - no matter how many people he has to kill to get it.

I actually enjoyed the first 3 episodes. If it weren't a DC show I'd recommend but given their suspect history of show quality dropping off a cliff I'll hold off on that for now. Just posting mainly to let folks know all 3 eps have post-credit scenes.

Thank you. smile

And please add the show image and show info text, like you see in the other show threads.

I fixed the url where my punctuation had rendered it useless. Beyond that folks are on their own.

"Why is everybody 'fucking you' to me?"

had me near tears.

Re: Peacemaker

Wow, 1x1 was very good. smile My guess is that about ZERO percent of viewers expected THIS ending... big_smile cool

I was smiling a lot while watching, and the show's level of crazy is higher than expected. Love it! big_smile Reminded me of https://next-episode.net/preacher - I hope the remaining episodes will be on a similar level.

Re: Peacemaker

I accidently started to watch the show with episode 1x04 and was a bit confused as they dident explain anything and their costumes looked a bit as if they came from a comic con convention.

And then they nearly lost me with the dancing intro, as there is a thin line between taking themselves not too serious (which is good) but they still should be serious enough not to cross over to the ridiculous side, which they gladly diden't and so far (after realizing my error and watching from episode 1 to 4), i really enjoy the show (and the music).

Re: Peacemaker

Ok I want that shirt that says "work shirt"...

Good show so far.

Re: Peacemaker

I just didnt really "get" the vibe of the show in episode 1 and didn't like it but I'm glad I continued, now I love it!

It just hits the right spot in its stupidity and over the top absurdity and is actually one of the few shows that I've laughed out loud to in a very long time.

oh and I now want an eagle as a pet......

Re: Peacemaker

Loving the show now. Was going to say it was the best live action DC show since Wonder Woman but then I remembered I also liked Human Target. Also I'm really going to need an episode from an alternate earth where

Spoiler

Economos framed the red lion from Voltron.

I love that I still have 2 episodes to watch and that the show got renewed (which I had fully expected).

Okay, you've convinced me... I watched half of the first ep so I'll finish it and continue.

14

Re: Peacemaker

Finished the (great) show. I was a bit disappointed by the season finale, but still recommend the show to anyone who likes fun, weird stuff, combined with violence. cool

15

Re: Peacemaker

OK , seems to be a hit.  Out of 3,000 votes on my TV show site it scores a 8.7 out 10.  Can't argue with those numbers.  So I turned a Sunday into a funday and bingged thru the whole season.   Nice bit of dark humor wrapped up in a DC fantasy, action superhero series,, which really isn't my normal appetite. Time well spent , /or wasted smile

Re: Peacemaker

I found it strong throughout but weaker when it was actually doing plot things rather than rapid-fire joke mode. Which is usually the opposite of the way I feel about super hero stuff. Of course that's probably due to this being actually funny rather than just dadjokey.

Re: Peacemaker

Easily some of the best DC live action ever. John Cena is the man! Looking forward to season 2 and I hope they can do a little interaction with the Justice League in Season 2, like a rejected application sort of skit with one of the Leaguers.

Re: Peacemaker

John Cena nailed it, love the show cant wait for S2, and the dance got me every time

Re: Peacemaker

i have to agree, the dance it sets the tone

Re: Peacemaker

I remembered you guys liking the dance here when I watched the 'dance' action in the "The Boys" video linked at https://forum.next-episode.net/viewtopi … 90#p172790 big_smile

22

Re: Peacemaker

I guess I'm the only one who watched the dance once and then skipped past thereafter.

Nope, same here! It was funny, but watching it once was enough for me (too). smile
