Wizard wrote:I am not sure on this one. Every time Jeremy Renner talks it's just so wooden and simple. His acting is great as long as he keeps quiet. Maybe that's why he didn't have anything to say in the films. I got bored in this episode too,
▼Spoiler the whole ice arena thing was just so fake. You could see the villains starting to fall before they were even hit.
COMMENT: use spoiler tags, everyone
I think he is just a man of few words, they do exist, very much a John Wayne character - Kate does all the talking and expressiveness, he is the foil to her character which works well? I got the impression his wife is the talker in that couple ▼Spoiler can any one explain the wife's origins and the watch insignia, why the watch was so important - we are told it some how contains details of her why he wanted it back? any way we have had 3 lovely short shows - Loki, Hawkeye and WandaVision. (I dont incude that Winter Soldier thing that was a bore) The best Marvel has produced since Agents of Shield?

Re: Hawkeye
▼Spoiler looked like a SHIELD insignia on the watch, not sure if there's supposed to be a story beyond that. I kept waiting for a real credits scene, like Wilson in the hospital or something but ugh. just kept hitting the forward button and they just kept singing.

Re: Hawkeye
I enjoyed it overall BUT if I turned up back home after going missing for a week in another city with a hot 20 something in tow, I think I'd get a try different reception than Clint got lol!

Re: Hawkeye
oh to merc's earlier question ▼Spoiler it seems the watch also had a 19. SHIELD agent 19 in the comics was Mockingbird, who was married to Hawkeye. Now whether Laura is meant to be MCU Bobbi Morse with a changed name (thus tossing the AoS version) or the agent 19 designation is reused or it's just an easter egg with no real plans, I can't say.

Re: Hawkeye
We did not see get shot, we just know there was a gunshot at the scene and we all know what that means as a plot device, especially at the end of a season.

▼Spoiler Moreover, what did Kingpin want with the watch in the first place? Did it have some secret information on it, or was it just a way to track Hawkeye's family—as a way to retaliate against Hawkeye (Ronin) because of what he did during the 5-year time jump? And speaking of Hawkeye's family, I think the easiest way to explain the continuity issue with Linda Cardellini and Adrianna Palicki is that the events that took place in AoS happened in an alternate universe. Adrianna Palicki is a variant of Hawkeye's wife. I'm fine with that. So many directions to go and the possibilities are almost endless once you reference the comics. I am a little disappointed in how they handled Eleanor's arc. It was hinted throughout the season that there's more than meets the eye with Eleanor, and I was expecting the writers to delve into her past a bit more. And I absolutely adore Rogers: The Musical, but I was also expecting a different post-credit scene for the finale; something more on par with the Loki post-credit scene where they're teasing more plot and what's happening next with certain characters. I learned later on that they swapped in the musical instead because the original deleted post-credit scene would've taken away some of the power from the Maya/Kingpin scene at the end. Even though everyone knows Kingpin is still alive lolz. We already know that some of these characters will continue on in other projects. But overall I was completely satisfied with the show, and I'm looking forward to Echo in 2023. I expect to see Kingpin in just about all the episodes, and most likely Charlie Cox's Daredevil. Wilson Fisk and Matt Murdock are a huge part of Maya Lopez/Echo’s story, so it would make sense for them to be a part of her spin-off solo series, which is rumored to also includes most of the main cast of the Netflix Daredevil series. We'll probably see a lot more of Kingpin and Matt Murdock in future projects, provided everything goes as planned.
