Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra's award-winning comic is finally coming to live-action. The story is set in a post-apocalyptic world where almost every male has died except for one.

I really enjoyed 1x1! Not what I expected, but really good! 1x2 and 1x3 were good, setting the show up for some conflicts later on. Will continue watching for sure.

I was bored halfway through 1x02. Turned it off.

Agree, it is well done and I hope it doesn't go off the rails.

I didn't read the comic. Was hoping it'd be really stupid within 5 minutes so I could stop watching plus delete the comic folder. No such luck, it's ok so far. Hopefully I'll see enough people saying it's close to or better than the comic that I can delete the latter.

Looks like I'll be leaving this sooner rather than later, was a snooze-fest.

I will probably see it through to the end as only 10 eps? But you are right is very little dfferent to any other apocalypse tv series. Where have all the women gone? The senes seem mostly barren as if mostly every one is dead

it's a really poor take on a apocalypse story IMO, they've lost viewer attention right from the get go. They've lost it before any character development could've been done.

I seem to like the show more than you do, but felt 1x4 could have pushed things along more. With seasons now often being quite short, I'm sometimes lacking patience when not enough happens in an episode.

The test of a bad series is can you remember what happens in each episode. I can't

Isn't that more a test of one's short-term memory? * I loved watching https://next-episode.net/messiah (and might watch it again), but don't recall what happened in which episode. * It's also about what's important... and for me it's totally irrelevant to remember what happened in which episode. I only want to keep track of the relevant characters and the plot... enough to be able to enjoy the following episodes/ seasons.

I’m enjoying this series. Yeah maybe it’s missing a little something. But over all its a good drama so far.

I think the test of a really good series is if it grips me enough for me to not want to wander off into the kitchen to get something without pausing it, or picking up my phone and checking messages or whatever. This one doesn't do that for me.

I share that sentiment. graybags wrote:I think the test of a really good series is if it grips me enough for me to not want to wander off into the kitchen to get something without pausing it, or picking up my phone and checking messages or whatever. This one doesn't do that for me.
I totally know what you mean, but IMHO those "really good" are somewhat rare. I like to be gripped, but it doesn't happen every day. And that's okay - but I don't want to be bored either.

I think this series is one that should be given the Netflix treatment ie all in one go, as too little happens each episode. Need tp be able to binge watch it over a few days

I totally agree, I'm trying really hard to give the show a chance but so little happens in an episode that it's aggravating.

They are just using a more meditative approach to showing the menpocalypse.

and there is so little suspense at the end of each episode that makes it feel so empty. compare with Stargirl where 2nd season is full of cliff hangers and what nows that means you have to watch the next eps
