no more of those black footballs on match stick legs

I'm debating with myself if I would prefer that you drop the show (and we get less criticism in the thread) or that you continue to watch it, so we get more hilarious criticism like this one. lol

I loved the close-up shots in 1x9, really alien aliens are quite rare. smile

well the close up shots were so dark I couldnt see much.
looked some thing like this

That image reminds me only of the https://next-episode.net/star-trek-discovery alien from an earlier season. cool

Good final season 1 episode (but not great).

Spoiler

Did we ever get a "Wajo" explanation? Was it the aliens testing their speech synthesis?

Re: Invasion (2021) [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi] (Apple TV+)

well eps 10 I wish the aliens had succeeded.

Spoiler

but it seems the rumblings in their fallen space ship means they will be back

The best bit was the title music, that is clearly where all the money was spent

reviews seem to be poor

mostly 1-3/10 many1's

I am gone!

Um...... aside from those rumblings (which could mean anything):

Spoiler

Did you not see the GIANT ALIEN SPACE SHIP in the sky when the soldier and his gf were at the beach?

Re: Invasion (2021) [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi] (Apple TV+)

well season 2 got off to a good start

Spoiler

with lots of the spikey footballs doing their thing - Clearly they were told  to come out of the shadows or the season would be cancelled?
The characters have had a makeover - Doctor Mom is now a Sarah Jane Connor and the Japanesse girl who cries a lot  is a freedom fighter.

looking good. Hopefully better than Season 1 that took suspense to an extreme

I'm struggling with S02E02. It's a tough cookie. Story all over the place.

Re: Invasion (2021) [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi] (Apple TV+)

Not struggling over here, but this show is still painfully slow at times! big_smile

The transition from eps 1 to 2 was too blunt and a bit of a let down. I suppose they used up a lot of their cgi budget in eps 1.

Spoiler

The strange thing is that the aliens clearly out to kill off the humans so why the Japanese love story now entangled in the alien ship?

2x3 finally brought some overdue big-scale payback. cool Good episode!

I wonder if 2x4 will bring some setbacks or reveal unintended negative consequences...

yes eps 3 was a goodun. I think it is the kids part of the series ,when soley kids with no major adult input, that drags the show down - feels like should be on at 4-5pm for when kids come home from school.

Meeh... arguably Fury made things worse.

2x10. Solid season finale. I have a feeling that they'll renew it once more and conclude the story with a third season... We'll find out. smile

I hope not!  I've not seen the finale yet, but if it's as dull as the rest I might even can it.  The kids in it are SO annoying, their acting is APPALLING.  I keep hoping the aliens will just kill them all.

2020.  Meh.

Re: Invasion (2021) [Drama, Action, Sci-Fi] (Apple TV+)

I think it is the end of the series.. hopefully. The story lines were getting muddled. One thing I wonder about how could all that mass of collective jelly goo create space ships. no arms no legs no nothing just a strange hive goo that can control the footballs or the werewolves. The creative decision to save some money not making aliens we can see has its probems? OK they can use robots like we do for cars but some one has to make the robots.......so I hope the show is over. The exploitation of the obscure has run its course. enough is enough

I found most of their acting to be okay.

Honestly, it makes me cringe whenever I see and hear them.  Maybe it's the script but their delivery and acting is sooooo British drama school kids acting.  Argh!

2020.  Meh.

Maybe you prefer a more linear narrative style (with a smaller cast), I didn't experience it as muddled.

What makes you think that what we saw are "the aliens"? Maybe those just were the genetically-modified, low-consciousness shock troops that they use to protect the real aliens from incurring substantial losses? Or they were their version of the Wagner Group, where it also doesn't matter as much if they die?

I dont think the footballs or the werewolves are the aliens, they are just the protectors, I assume it was the goo in the mother ship that was the alien(s)

Ah, okay. I believe/ hope there'll be a big alien reveal in the next season which we will hopefully get. cool
