Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
In 3x7/3x8 the Ted Lasso total football 4 step plan was hilarious, but all that wasted screen time on Nate and Keeley was so tangent and boring, but I suppose they're wrapping up stories and preparing to end the show. Could've been tighter and edited way down to 35 minutes imo.
3x7 - Love the 'You've got Mail' intro to this episode though, nice homage.

s03e09 This show could be so much cringe, but avoids it beautifully.
Such good writing.

I used to think this show stayed just below the cringe line to be clever, but this season for me at least, it's crossed the line. If this shows ends this season as is speculated, I'll be fine with that.
Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
Not that I don't like the show anymore, but it's definitely veered into more of a Ted Less-o territory. Luckily most other characters are interesting and fun. I say mostly because I honestly don't care about Nate at all.
But definitely at this point episodes are starting to feel like a finale with character arcs being tied up one after another.

It's just too cringey, preachy and everyone is just sooo nice... I'm getting so done with it.
Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
I feel like everyone being nice to each other is what the show is trying to achieve. They didn't start this way and some people are still struggling their way through it, but people actually being mostly nice to each other and not generating fake drama (mostly, as some of the locker room scenes have been awful) is somehow kinda refreshing.
It's what Ted set out to do and he's almost done. It's himself that is still broken
Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
It just got far too cringey, too sacharine for me. I mean, the routine and song from The Sound of Music, seriously? I hope it's done, I really do.

3x12 - So long, Farewell.
Ted Lasso's finale was refreshingly optimistic where everything went better than you'd expect, even if the sap was a bit much, it did what TV should, provided escapist hope. I'll miss it.
Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
S3 was surreal in a bad way
Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
Looks like they're making a season 4 now.
Re: Ted Lasso [Comedy, Drama, Sport]
actually because of the way the contracts were structured, Ted has to return in order for there to be a show at all. The fact that it's been green lit means that he has agreed to return.

Oh cool.
From what I read he hasn’t signed up to another season. Guess things have changed.
