- when is everyone going to realise if you see Datak/Stahma voluntarily coming towards you it's always a trap.

Also looking forward to Stahma getting the better of the little Omec brat after that last episode. The Tarr couple are awesome as the self-interested inadvertant bad guys, and very handy to have around when their interests happen to match your interests...which is possibly the same as for that big Omec guy T'evgin, still to see how he will come through. He appears to want a peaceful relationship with everyone, but only acts to help the others when he's in the mood.

I expect there'll be quite a few on board his ship who see it like his daugther Kindzi (that all other races are there to be exploited), so could set the scene for a great deal of background conflict as they settle in (or not, as the case might be), with a bunch of very powerful aliens doing basically whatever they want, and the leader running around trying to fix things (but only when he thinks it right to intervene, like in his culture if the Omec was really quite hungry and they only ate the weakest member of a family and left the rest, that might be considered okay by him and totally honorable). Regardless, I hope they don't just fly off to another planet, or get their ship blown up or anything else that simply ends their story, that would be a waste of some good potential plot moments.

On the previous episode: I felt it was really well-played how they had Stahma Tarr running around freaking out like a little pet being tortured by the family's bratty kids. Really put things into perspective (that this Omec race considered themselves alpha, and any other species was just a plaything to them).

The show really is kinda good this season although yeah, they've gone Game of Thrones on the cast. I binge watched the first 4 episodes and after the fact you could count the remaining original major cast on the fingers of one hand.

On the other hand, the story seems far better than it was last season and it's one of the few shows that doesn't seem too willy-nilly. It is basically a lot of cruel stuff people do to survive in that harsh world and the occasional humor doesn't feel misplaced as it feels kinda like a coping mechanism for some of the characters.
