Just watched the season finale....GAWWW!

I think you're all in LALAland, because that was far from an awesome Smallville season finale.  There's still no chemistry between Clark and Lois and their lines are so terrible I cringe every time, and I've never cared about the Candorians because they're boring poorly written characters who'll be gone somehow by the end of the season.  Everyone thinks that this finale was good because you've lowered your expectations over the years whilst putting up with garbage writing to the point where you've all forgotten how epic those finales and premieres used to be!  So what that Clark had a fight scene with Zod and sent him to a new home somewhere in the universe by his "Herculean act" of taking the blue kryptonite to the chest....(to which I'm assuming Jor-el will reward Clark with the ability to fly)....and so what that Lois has finally connected the dots, that's 5 seasons too late.....this season was just too painful to take, for any of that to even matter to me at all.

If I were the writers, I'd say "Fuck it, lets have Clark wake up in Smallville, completely fine, with the ability to fly, with Martha, Jonathon, Lex, Lionel and Lana, all back in the show as though they never left, with a forumla for episodes that worked to continue a re-invented storyline our viewers actually care about."  With the amount of blanket statements Chloe's used in this season it's a completely reasonable proposition.

Who knows, they might pay homage to the formula of the earlier seasons with this final season coming up, but I doubt it, the ratings are just too terrible (from 6.3million in S2 to 2.35million here in S9).

I didn't exactly say that I loved this episode... I mostly said that the second half was very much better than the first...

I still prefer Chloe tho.

anyway, did anyone notice how when Clark took the blue krypto hit he fell off the building in a cross shape... Trying to give him a messiah look. Bryan singer did the same thing in superman returns when supes was falling to earth. The CW tried to copy him. Pfft.

I especially liked the mention of Jonathan in the ep too...signs of the important factors being recognized again.

well, I got engaged and getting married in a couple of months, so been crazy busy with all that stuff... Also, the iPhone app has massively reduced my need of coming to the site, which in turn reduces my forum activity. :-(
