i agree it did get better, but to me it did just feel like a mini series, like not much else could be done with it.
the stories would kinda be the same, but i do think they should be given a 2nd season, to make a new and expanding story arc, and give more of a back story to the characters, cus they did kinda tell u everything ud wanna know about most of the characters early on.

I really liked the finale, it was great. And i swear if Fox cans this show they will go down like a 2 dollar hooker. They better no can this...too many good shows have been can'ed these past two seasons...

Oh man. Why do they do0 this. You have to give it a good run to see if it picks up. The best guide for this would have to be the show runner.

His History?
Buffy, Alien Movie (Not his best work but any self respecting SF Fan will own the DVD), Angel, Firefly (WHY DID IT END?), Serenity (Voted one of the Best SF Films ever), and now Dollhouse.
12 or 13 eps are not enough to show what a program will be like.
How many of our favourite shows would not have existed if it was judged and canceled on the strength of the first 13 episodes?

I think that this episode was really awesome! Damn! Why do they keep cancelling good shows? Who the hell makes these decisions?

Sooooo ... the (series?) finale is here. I liked it a lot, but I wasn't blown away by it like I expected to be. Tim Minear is definitely my favorite non-Whedon writer (most of Angel's second season, Firefly's best episode "Out of Gas" among others, The Inside, and Drive) and I expected more. But then again all they had to go on were five really good episodes, so there was not much mythology to pay off.

I felt the finale kind-of fell apart in the end (after Alpha decided to run, which was strange decision to me - but then again, I never had 48 personalities in my head; is a simple majority enough for a decision or do they need a 2/3 vote?) and looking back not that much changed. The episode reminds me of Firefly's "Heart of Gold," which should have been the second-to-last episode, prior to the brilliant "Objects in Space." Just like "Heart of Gold," "Omega" combines a lot of what is great about the show, but is ultimately an unsatisfying experience.

Unfortunately FOX decided we don't need to see "Epitaph One," the Joss Whedon-scripted last episode taking place several years after the happenings of this season and we get to see it only on the DVD release. "Epitaph One" promises to be exactly in the vein of "Objects in Space" or Buffy's "Restless" - a philosophically tainted look at the show, its past and future, full of foreshadowing and true Joss awesomeness. And without it this finale just feels ... empty.
