Lets leave reality out of our entertainment please. I need an outlet, if its taken away I might loose it.

too many are taking reality out of everything..

like press releases, interviews, journalism, politics....
pretty much most anything someone is doing to make money has had reality removed

SCI-FI entertainment is about on par with the most hallowed halls of institutions that have stood for 200+ years.

i thought jedi could "feel" where the shot was going to go, before it was fired.
they are reacting to an event that is still in the future.

which explains how they can block not only the shots that could hit them,
but also can ignore the ones that are of no danger.

( also explains why saber duels can last so long and go so fast )

i am sure i saw it explained that way somewhere.

also
we are not seeing the plasma shots in real time, but the after effects as fast as our brains can process them.
( that one sounds wrong, but we dont have scifi guns yet so...)

I have seen droids using shields. I am sure by the time they invented artificial gravity, they could have invented personal shields.

Or even armour that deflects energy based weapons. But the most powerful people in this universe, use glow sticks. I am sure 100 people firing blasters at one Jedi, wouldn't be able to be deflected every shot all at once. Or simply being fired on from behind.

the animation was a mix of detailed and generic.
but noting new or exciting. ( where is the fantastic digital animation we were promised 20 years ago??)
there is some great lighting, but most is lost before you can really see it.
broad color strokes make some parts stand out, but only for a second or two.. sadly.

a lot of tropes being drug out yet again for lack of better writing and imagination.
( empire whaks anyone who looks at them funny because who cares about loyalty or reputation)

the lawson side story was predicable, over used and played out.
they wasted the mercs

i understand they have to spoon feed people things
they have to explain the backstory some what.

but do they have to write it like we all are 5?
(even for a cartoon)

i dont know how i feel about there being a season 2 or more..
how many in world years are possible until maul dies from this point?

I was thinking of starting him on this.

If your kid has not seen any, go in order. they will thank you later. And its a big library, so it will take time. Plus as an adult you can enjoy it with them. Memories that last a lifetime.

There was so much stuff in there I couldn't care less about or which didn't add anything to the plot or character development. Just wasting time...

If broken down to three episodes, this could've been a decent part of a 2nd Season for Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld.

Last episode was the most interesting one, but not because of Maul

other then the silly legs, he had the best story as an anti hero
who is still a villain that could be hunting and killing other villains.

i will wait and withhold any judgements until the season drops..

disney has really beat a lot of dead horses and  dressed them up with lipstick lately.

I always thought that Clone Wars + Rebels overdid it with Maul but ever since George Lucas said that he had big plans for the character I see him in a new light.
Let's just hope this is closer to the before mentioned shows (and Tales of the Jedi) than to Ahsoka.
