Sometimes, we need a break for some mindless entertainment. This fits the bill. I'd tune in for another season. There's something to build on here.

A great show. Thats two good shows now in succession ( Fallout ) after a very barren period.

I liked it ok but tapped out halfway through the season. Was nothing wrong with it, just realized I didn't care.

Same here. At no point did I ever get the impression that they knew where they were going with it, but it was overall an enjoyable experience. Early 1700s Britain being used as a setting for something like this is surprisingly rare, but there were still moments that made me wonder if using a fantasy world outright might have been better.

^^ that might be possible, but i dont believe that i am the only one, maybe a minority... maybe .. and then there is the question of how consequential IMDB-Ratings are on series, which i regard rather inconsequential

I really like the idea & concept, just not the execution - Have a look Curious what you think.

What a great and promising recipe?
A young female "Robin Hood", a pinch of "Princess Bride", some slices of "Sleepy Hollow" and a dash of "Pirates of the Caribbean" stewed in a slightly slap-stickly british pot of swashbuckling fantastical adventure?
Great costumes, good action and ok-ish special effects?
That should be enough shouldn't it?

Sadly they added large amounts of bitter "completely illogical timelines and scripts"!
And a revolting amount of "completely unnecessary idiotic and superficial characters & dialogues"

Louisa Harland is well chosen and is doing really well, but she can't save another messed-up Disney-script - like so many over the last 2 decades! Instead of making a kid/family-series/movies they (Disney) seemingly are unable to understand how this can be done anymore, so they mix over simplistic characters and "realities" (from children scripts) with (too)fast paced from teen-content and then some rather adult contents and then they wonder why it tastes like boiled shoe-soles...

So this could have been REALLY great...! But its not! Only a 1-2/5★ from me...

Is it for you? Yes, if you don't mind
- the rather oversimplified script
- the weak humor
- and many misfitted children's -content
==> then enjoy a sparkling special adventure with guns, sabers and lots of MAGIC!

Is it for Kids?
Hmm, no not really, its rather a 12+ series...

... sadly i really enjoyed E01, but from E02 it went slowly and constantly downhill. Only the Magics & Action scenes were nice until the end, most of the rest i had to skip through... bummer!

... maybe S02 gets better?

A swashbuckling adventure series set in the 18th century. When she's framed for murder, Nell Jackson is forced into a life of highway robbery, along with her two orphaned sisters Roxanne and George.
