Pem, it has nothing to do with Apple. The change was made by the BBC themselves due to the deal with Disney.

Bah, yes, apologies, I mean Disney, not Apple.

Disney wanted it changed, they did not want to start at Season 14.
The BBC basically bowed to their wish (whether they admit it or not).

They would never have gone to all the trouble & confusion its caused otherwise.
There was no reason to change, anymore than all the previous times there was a new doctor.

Anyway, it doesnt matter to me now, I found the xmas special to be terrible, and gave up less that halfway into episode 1 of this new season (whatever number they want to call it). I wont be bothering with it any more.

Its still the same show, and Season 14.

If they renamed it everytime there was a new doctor it would be a right mess.

Yesterday 1.11. when i logged in to Next Episode, it did not show in calendar page that 2 specials airs 1.11. but today 2.11. morning it shows athese 2 specials in calendar view.
