Durin vs. Balrog - it looked awesome .

So, the Dark Wizard is one of the Istari....turned evil....like Sarumar...and he looks like Sarumar...but he isn't Sarumar?....and there are also five of them (same as during Bilbo & Frodos time)....
Is their (the writers) plan for the Istari to have been in Middle-Earth all along? Or did the Valar send them twice for the same purpose?...but then it definitely isn't Sarumar, after all the Valar ain't stupid.

And how and when did he and the other three arrive in Middle-Earth, certainly not the same way Gandalf did?, and he is most definitely a whole lot longer there than Gandalf is.

Númenor...well with Elendil on his way to Middle-Earth, at least the important part of Númenor's history is back on track, hopefully no longer that BS political stuff I don't care at all about.

Am I a bad person for being glad that Celebrimbor is dead? - his character was probably the worst written in the entire show (so far).
Closely followed by Galadriel of course. Did she do anything to further the overall plot in this season?

The Balrog just decided to go back to sleep after it fought against Durin?...very considerate of it I guess.

Gandalfs great realization "friends over power"...wow, really mind-blowing stuff...

Grand-Elf...OK I can see how, over time, this might work for the hobbits...with tales told a name like Gandalf can develop....but for him to say the name "Gandalf" felt just wrong...after all he is known by many names, not just Gandalf.

That last scene of the elves...If I had to summarize what is wrong with the elves in this show I would say they are missing elegance...something you could clearly feel in the first trilogy.

How did they get all that war machinery through that forrest?

Why didn't Gil'Galad and Elrond use the rings? - this could've actually been the perfect moment to show them off.

But would a riverbed not be inches upon inches of soft mud? So anyone crossing it would be knee deep in muck?

Yes, I also enjoyed the illusion loop.

What I didn't like so much was the river bed turning into a usable battlefield in what felt like minutes (after them stopping the water from flowing), including the Orcs being able to move heavy stuff across it. Oh well...

The Orcs military power is very impressive. They have war machinery, trenches for defense, and they have even doctors who treat the wounded. Adar is one hell of a commander.
But doesn't it feel like the orcs are just getting more and more as the battle goes on?

The elves of Eregion (i stop writing "humans with pointy ears"...too long - but still accurate ) on the other hand... somehow that one elve guard from last episode is apparently the captain of the guards...did not get that impression at all from him.
Later in the episode Galadriel talks about old dwarven tunnels...weird that they weren't used to evacuate the city... people still keep running around wildly halfway through the battle - and the walls weren't even breached yet.

Mirdanias death was disappointing. From what we can tell she is the number two in Eregion, her death should've had a much bigger impact.

So let me get this right: Eregion is in the midst of a loosing battle. Lindon decides to go and help...then Elrond goes to Durin and asks for their aid...so far so good.
Then we see Elrond as the lead of the Lindon Host?? - What the hell? Did they wait around somewhere in safe distance for Elrond to return from his errand? Why didn't they attack right away?

And what is going on with Gil'Galad. He was seen at the head of the Host as well...where did he go? He shows back up only after ~30mins screen time. And why wasn't he the one negotiating with Adar?

Elrond is barely a freshling commander...probably took over for Galadriel? - where are the other three commanders with their thousands of years of experience in battle?

Wouldn't it have been better if Elrond came back heavily wounded from Khazad-dûm and Gil'Galad would command the elves? - This way we wouldn't have had to watch him kissing his mother-in-law .
And btw... from that angle, Adar could've probably seen himself that Elrond was putting something in Galadriels hand...

So at the end of the episode, there are like 20 elves left...I would really like to know how many soldiers were in Eregion and how many did Lindon bring.

Celebrimbor....the old mystery of the chicken and the egg, or in this case: Do I cut off my finger or the chains that bind me? - he is in a freaking forge and can't find a tool to undo the cuffs that were probably forged in the same room...

The one thing I really liked about this episode is, that The Nine were forged not with Mithril but with Saurons blood(?) - that was a great idea imho.
