Title. Seriously, I've been watching season one through seven for the past few weeks and not only have I almost forgotten about the 8 other shows I'm following that are active at the moment, I tried watching some episodes today and I just got bored and stopped. Stargate is awesome.
Unfortunately I'm having some seeding problems at the moment, so I'm waiting for someone to start seeding the torrent again since I can't be bothered going to public trackers.

I'm re-watching all SG1 episodes, and I noticed that Paul McGillion (Dr Carson Becket in Stargate Atlantis) is in this episode!

He's Young Ernest Littlefield.

An address contains 7 symbols. 6 to point out where in space you wanna go and one to point out where you are (point of origin). If I have understood this correctly the seventh symbol, the point of origin, will change in every address depending on where you are.... right?
The address to earth, for example, would always change it's seventh symbol.

If all this is correct (not sure that it is, I might have misunderstood the hole situation) it would mean that if a person happened to be transported to a planet to which he/she did not know the symbol for, he/she could never go anywhere....

And now, in episode 1x18 "Solitudes" Carter and O'Neill ends up at the antarctic gate and don't know where they are, yet Carter seams to be sure that she has the right address when trying to dial earth. How is this possible if she doesn't know the point of origin?

GateWorld posted some news about the upcoming Stargate movies:

The first Stargate direct-to-DVD movie won't arrive until the first half of 2008, Twentieth Century Fox tells GateWorld. MGM originally hoped to have Stargate: The Ark of Truth out this fall.

The visual effects-heavy film is currently in post-production.

The Ark of Truth will wrap up the two-year Ori story arc, which was left unresolved when SG-1 finished its tenth and final season on television this month.

The second direct-to-DVD movie, Stargate: Continuum, has likewise been bumped to 2008, following The Ark of Truth. Principal photography on the second movie recently concluded in Vancouver.

Murmurs of additional movies are already being discussed. If the first two are successful, MGM hopes to release about two SG-1 movies per year. "There is already talk of doing some more of these SG-1 movies," actor Michael Shanks recently wrote in his TV Guide blog, "so keep your finger's crossed."

With Stargate's traditional production schedule running from March to October, MGM may greenlight an additional film -- or at least commission a script -- before The Ark of Truth reaches store shelves.

One show that contains Amanda Tapping (fabulous cleavage in recent episode), Claudia Black (quirky and with a great ass) and Morena Baccarin (just gorgeous and looking younger than when in Firefly).
What more could a hot blooded male ask for?

SKY Screws up

SKY screwed up BIG time tonight.
The episode (s10e12.Bounty) advertised/scheduled was not shown instead they aired episode s10e14.Line.In.The.Sand. This was not a production number versus episode number screw-up as happened with Atlantis but an airing error as the lack of continuity from episode s10e11.The.Quest.part2 was obvious within the first few seconds.

New Episode Numbering

Prepare for confusion!
If you thought the Atlantis schedule confusion re the episode "Sunday" was bad
then prepare for worse. The world premiere screenings of Stargate SG-1 from the UK have just been re-ordered - the new sequence is below.

Tuesday evenings at 8pm GMT
1012 - Line in the Sand (Jan 16th)
1013 - The Road Not Taken (Jan 23rd)
1014 - The Shroud (Jan 30th)
1015 - Bounty (Feb 6th)

SciFi and MGM have chosen not to confirm screening orders for Stargate episodes when the world premiere screening occurs in Canada or the UK - this has resulted in confusion over episode numbers and the correct episode order.
Gateworld has posted a news items noting the new episode order - but has not
altered it's episode numbering as yet.

The accepted sequence (Gateworld et al) has always been as follows:

1012 - Bounty
1012 - The Shroud
1013 - Line in the Sand
1014 - The Road Not Taken

Does anyone know why the Next Episode guide is not updated on Stargate SG-1? On Next episode is just says that Season 10 is going to begin this summer? Why???
