This show will chronicle the life and death of drug lord Pablo Escobar, the ruthless boss of the Medellin Cartel and a known terrorist who was also a congressman, a family man and revered by the poor as a new Robin Hood.

This show is looking good so far, it's one of those narrated shows (very dry narration), tons of action, all well done with great acting.

...Its all been said before!

Re: Narcos

Just watched the pilot, pretty good.  The narration is pretty dry you are right but I guess they didn't want an upbeat voice considering the topic?

Yeah I imagine so, but in my books dry is a good thing smile This is a great series, really enjoying it.

Re: Narcos

Yeah always good to see something universally accepted. This show is both educational and entertaining - tons of action backed up with good story and acting, plus has historical importance. Ticks all the boxes for almost anyone I guess.

Re: Narcos

Netflix has already renewed this show for season 2, in 2016.

Re: Narcos

It's so bloody amazing though not sure what Season 2 will be about? :-/

Re: Narcos

Well season 2 was absolutely jaw dropping to say the least. We all know how this story ends in '93, and despite this fact I'm still glued to the screen with each and every episode. This season has definitely been the best I've seen from Netflix so far this year and that's saying a lot. Also happens to be the best from Gaumont IMO, keeping that same level of quality from Hannibal. Top notch production, Palme d’Or type directing, beautiful cinematography, and a great cast from top to bottom. When I now think of Pablo Escobar, Wagner Moura's face is the first thing that pops in my mind. His performance was Emmy, Golden, Tony, Cannes, and Oscar all-in-one. Pablo Escobar was a character who certainly took a lot of Wagner Moura (there's no denying that) and his performance was nothing short of amazing but the main achievement and overall strength with Narcos was not glamorizing Escobar or the drug trade, but presenting a compelling, human story that everyone can relate to.

This is must see TV folks!! The details of the various manipulation tactics in this story are really compelling and I would imagine quite real, and even though certain scenes, characters, locations, and events were fictionalized for dramatic purposes, the story narration made it appear quite real and conceivable in our complex world. This season has been no different than the previous as it was simply stupendous.
