Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Thanks - I didn't know about that. It gets around the problem of tracking shows but unfortunately it doesn't address release dates and has no visibility on the home page (unlike the watchlist). Ideally I'd like to see it all in a single place. Appreciate the reply!

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Would be nice if you could toggle to show absolute anime episode numbers instead of relative, as these are what is standard for tv releases. The information is already available on tvrage. This site may be helpful as well: http://thexem.de. Thanks!

It looks really good on an iPad, but somehow really weird on Chrome. Might be just me though and I'll get used to it soon enough.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I would like to make two suggestions. The first, is that the Watchlist on the left should honor the "Stop tracking" setting, and thus not display the series that I have in my watchlist but have stopped tracking. This option is already available for the calendar, so enabling it for the Watchlist shouldn't be difficult. The second, is that the Past/Future list on the right should read the Watched states of the episodes, and not display shows there that I have already watched. This would give a very cool overview of the shows from this week that I have yet to watch. And a minor bug-report: The [-] in front of the episodes in my Stuff to watch list, which marks the episodes as watched, has an incorrect mouseover text. It says "Remove episode from watched"

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Fixed the bug, thanks for reporting this I'll consider the other suggestions. The second one, about past/future may have considerable impact on the site performance, that's why I've avoided so far integrating the watched episodes anywhere else on the site other than the stuff to watch section which is designed especially for that. If I think of a good way to do it without affecting performance, it may happen. As for removing the stopped tracking shows from the watchlist, it may also happen, but I imagine it as a "stopped tracking" collapsed list, much like the current "More (inactive shows)" one. Sounds reasonable?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
A stopped tracking collapsible list would be the perfect way to do that. It's good to have the option to see the inactive shows there, so being able to see the non-tracking shows would be good as well. It's just that seeing them there constantly detracts from the experience, since there are MANY shows there and the tracked ones just get lost in the sea of non-tracked Sorting them by release date helps, of course, but I kinda prefer it sorted alphabetically. I understand that you don't want to do anything that impacts site performance. I am 100% behind you on that, since I certainly don't want the performance hindered in any way either. I started coding websites in 1996, when economy of screen real-estate and economy of scripting was paramount. I still adhere to those standards today... something that many programmers could do with learning That's actually one of the things I love most about your site. It has mostly stayed away from unnecessary fluff and wasted data, where useless sites like tv.com have grown into monsters better left dead in a ditch santah wrote:Fixed the bug, thanks for reporting this I'll consider the other suggestions. Re: Features/Improvements Requests
Hi santah, Been a member for years, and recently got premium and access to the Top Charts section. I have a question on the filtering options. Do you know if it's possible to add a checkbox to remove shows from the various sections (e.g. Hot, Trending) that have been cancelled or ended? Sometimes I may not want to find/get into a show only to find out there's just one or two seasons available.

Thanks for the suggestion. Will add a way to toggle between All / Running shows! I can't promise when though! Cheers

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
One thing I'd actually love to see, would be an Ignore list. There are dozens of shows coming out, that are filling the Today's / Tomorrow's Shows lists nicely, but most of them I just don't care about. If it were possible, I'd love to be able to go into the show profile and just hit Ignore, and it would disappear from all the lists.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I've a suggestion, how about a 'last watched episode' in stuff to watch, with an unwatch button? Would be a bit faster and easier than going through the list of watched to find and uncheck; useful if you mark something by mistake or fell asleep through something and want to quickly mark it as unwatched before heading off to bed. I doubt the order of watched is currently tracked, but it wouldn't need to go more than one/a couple deep. [edit]Or maybe a click through to manage just the one show & season, still faster and would only need to query the current database instead of add to it.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
On the profile page (http://next-episode.net/user/katy) Would it be possible to have a setting, exclude shows that have yet to air a pilot or a list to show any future shows you have added to your watchlist that haven't started yet?

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
@Thierry So the request was about hiding the not tracked shows from the site? I'm still figuring out how to implement this on a site wide level, will be done. Let me know if you meant that.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
The features are a bonus. The main thing with Premium is supporting the site and helping me maintain it But anyway. I'll keep building cool features, hopefully I'll win you as premium some day.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
There's one thing that I've often thought about but am just now remembering to ask for. Right now, shows have Three states. There's Not In Watchlist, In Watchlist, and In Watchlist but Not Tracking. However, I would actually love it if there were a fourth state: In Watchlist, but Dropped. (Oh, and obviously my previous idea would be the fifth state: Not in Watchlist and Ignored) The difference, for me at least, would be that the shows I'm Not Tracking are shows that I still intend to watch some day but want to get out of my Stuff To Watch list and don't want to be notified of new episodes. Shows that I've Dropped, however, are shows that I don't intend to finish watching, and don't want to see anywhere on the site, but still want to keep the record of having watched some of them (in case I forget and later decide to download them). Right now there's no way to tell these two apart, since they're all mixed in my Not Tracking list. On that note, I would also throw out the idea that the Shows you're not tracking field (and the new Shows you've dropped field ) at the bottom of Stuff To Watch, should be collapsible. Right now it's just a loooong list of shows that I don't care about at the moment or have dropped, and I'm guessing that a collapsed list would reduce the load time ever so slightly.

Re: Features/Improvements Requests
I don't see the ignored and dropped show states happening anytime soon. I understand why they can be useful sometimes, but the UI and infrastructure for this will clutter the site too much for it to be worth it. Cheers!
