Topic: Time settings
It's 12.29am, Monday 21st April as I type this in the UK. My "Timezone" is set to UK (GMT 00:00) and the shows showing on my "Yesterday" list are shown showing up as what was on Saturday (Orphan Black). Surely at just after midnight I should see shows that were on the previous day? As a test, I switched the timezone to GMT +01:00 and it stayed the same. I switched to GMT +02:00 and I got the result I should be seeing. I understand there might be an issue with daylight saving time, etc., but not a 2 hour difference. I could set my timezone to Spain, which is 2 hours ahead of the UK, and will make my TV shows appear "correctly", but that isn't really the answer. Any idea what the answer is, Santah?

Re: Time settings
When looking at the listings in my local newspaper, or any listings of tv times I have ever seen anywhere in the world, the tv times from midnight to about 4 am goes to the previous day. I am quite sure the same goes for this website too. The tv shows starting after midnight still belongs to the previous days list of tv shows. This is surely a case of the morning papers coming out between 4-6 am so you can get the new papers but even in this modern day it is still a tradition that is worth keeping. With that said it would make sense if the changing of days wouldn't take place until a few hours after midnight as that is tradition in the world of tv and this is in many ways a tv related site.

I don't think this happens on this site intentionally, and I personally would like to see it set up so that yesterday's shows show up after midnight and not at 4am, which just seems wrong to me.

Re: Time settings
Hi. Have not yet, but I haven't forgotten either. Sorry for taking so long. The thing is, it's a complex issue because the shows are tracked from multiple countries, which are on different timezones and have varying daylight saving times and the site wasn't really built with that in mind so I have to overhaul a lot of mechanisms to accommodate for that. Changing the timezone only looks like a solution, because it fixes your UK tv shows, but if you only care about them being absolutely correct - use that for now. I'll try to work on that by the end of this week.

Re: Time settings
No rush, I know you must be a busy bloke. I'm surprised that nobody has pointed out the issue before, but then again I only noticed it because I work different shifts, so I'm often awake throughout the night and just happened to notice that the times seemed incorrect after midnight.

Well - these time thing problems are always around and often discussed, but actually I'm mostly busy around midnight, so I can forgive these glitches

Re: Time settings
Doesnt bother me - in fact, I'm quite happy with the way it is now. Seems like its not a big enough deal for 'time' to be wasted on it since no one has really followed up with this 'glitch' or complained about it for a while (as far as I am aware)

Lots of people don't like complaining, so it might be an issue to lots of people, but they just keep quiet. But me, I love complaining

Re: Time settings
Cool thanks, at the moment I'm having to set my Time Zone to Sweden or something +2 hrs GMT to make it "right".
